Underlying notes of plum and cranberry also come through. Made in limited quantities and only available at the winery.
The grapes in this classic varietal come from five of the top Sonoma County appellations: Sonoma Valley, Dry Creek Valley,Russian River Valley, Alexander Valley and one of the most recently established appellations Rockpile.
Wild Oak wines By St. Francis are created from grapes that have been hand-picked from small lots of elite terroir bordered by these Heritage Oaks through out Sonoma County. This 5-Star rated wine from Quarterly Review of Wines is an ideal table wine- big, aromatic, of firm structure yet soft and approachable.
True to its desired style, the 2007 Behler Chardonnay is an opulent wine. The finished wine has a bouquet of tropical and exotic fruits fragrant with new oak and vanilla.
Malbec produces large, luscious berries with plum like flavors, anise spiciness and deep color. A Bordeaux varietal that has historically been used as a blending grape, however, when Malbec is grown at this rocky hillside site, the grapes achieve a complexity and concentration that is not found in a valley floor grown Malbec.
